About the Team:

  • The client provides a location data management tool for local listings designed internally from the ground up. They verify, enhance and distribute location data for multi-location businesses.
  • It cleans and verifies your store location data, ensuring that ALL your store locations are consistently correct on all the important local listing sources.
  • It is NOT an SEO company, the client specialises in managing local listings for multi-location brands.

Job Description:

We are excited to begin our search for a Sales Development Representative to join the team and help us deliver on our goal of marketing our Location Management Platform, to as many retailers as possible.

Our technology helps multi-location retailers manage store location data, especially opening hours, more efficiently and effectively across hundreds or thousands of stores on mapping apps like Google and Apple Maps.

We have built a robust database of leads for the countries leading retailers, so the ideal candidate needs to be an energetic self-starter who isnt afraid of picking up the phone and speaking to potential customers, enjoys digging into companies and finding the right person to speak to + enjoys the art of selling and can communicate effectively with marketers in the retail space.


What you ll do?


  • The Sales Development Representatives primary responsibility is appointment setting with leading retailers via cold calls to make qualified appointments for the sales team.
  • Ability to source leads, Company names and contact names online (Linkedin, Wikipedia etc )
  • Prospect both cold and warm leads.
  • Updating and managing all sales activities, opportunities, and account information in our CRM.
  • Not required now - General account management and once-a-month report writing for our client base.

How your performance will be measured

  • Achieve a minimum monthly quota of 12 qualified meetings per month for Business Development Director.
  • Making a minimum of 70 to 80 outbound calls per day.
  • Equates to around 5-10 quality conversations.


Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Comfortable picking up the phone and making calls.
  • At least three(3) years of sales experience, at minimum.
  • Experience in the digital marketing industry is optional but is preferable. For example - SEO, PPC, Social Media or web dev sales experience.
  • A person having sold these solutions in the past will find it very easy to sell what we do.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to multi-task, organise, and prioritise work.
  • Familiarity with the use of CRM systems.

Tech stack

  • Email, CRM & Calling Leads- We use Google Workspace for day-to-day email business communications, Mail, calendar, Google Meet etc.
  • However, all emails to leads should be done within Close CRM (we are contemplating a move to Salesforce)
  • Calls are to be made within Close; we will assign a mobile number to the account, allowing the SDR to track calls, text messages & voicemail messages for the SDR.
  • Lead discovery - We use a combination of Linkedin and RocketReach to find lead emails and phone numbers. Moving leads data from Linkedin is completed using a Chrome browser extension.
