Lindsey Healthcare Holdings is looking for a Staff Accountant to join our growing team! The Staff Accountant will be a part of a growing team that works together toward common company goals and initiatives. We are looking for a detail-oriented and driven accountant to provide support to the senior leadership by executing daily accounting tasks, month-end close, variance analysis, and work closely with various departments to provide support.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
- Assist with various special projects, executive presentations, and financial reporting requests
- Get exposure to various areas financial reporting; forecast, planning, and analysis; operations support & budgeting groups
- Receive cross-functional training where various responsibilities include, but are not limited to preparing management financial reports, account reconciliations, and performance and testing of internal controls
- Candidates must be self-starters, have the ability to manage multiple deadline-oriented projects, and be able to work with various individuals other departments
Requirements
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field (e.g., Finance)
- Minimum of 2 years of work experience in public accounting or industry accounting
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Able to research accounting issues and propose conclusions on the proper accounting treatment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to adjust to multiple demands and shifting priorities
- Strong project management skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- Public accounting experience
- Masters degree in accounting or business administration
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor s degree in accounting, business, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience required 2 or more years of related experience required Advanced knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) practices and analytical methodologies Advanced written, verbal, and communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
