About The Role

Our client is seeking to hire a Part-time Permanent nanny to pick up their children from school and provide after-school care.

Location: North York (Steeles & Bathurst)
Children: 5 yo girl & 2 yo boy
Role Type: Permanent part-time
Schedule: M-F 2:30-6:30PM (can accommodate a later start-time on Mon - Thurs if thats candidate preference)
Start Date: As soon as successful applicant is found
Compensation: $25 - $30 / hr


About The Family

The family is very friendly and laid back, and are looking for someone fun and energetic to join their household. Both parents are vaccinated, but are flexible on the candidates vaccination status. The parents work from home part-time in a separate area of the home. The children enjoy colouring, drawing, and going to the park.


The Perfect Caregiver

The ideal nanny is someone who is engaged, loving and patient. They should be punctual as the role will involve after-school pickup. The nanny must be comfortable driving the children - they can either use their own vehicle, or the parents can supply one. The nanny should be someone who can hold firm to boundaries consistently and lovingly.


Responsibilities

The nanny will be responsible for picking up the children from pre-school / school and driving them home. From there, they will engage the children in open play. The family is open to a nanny who either starts the shift at 3:30, or they can start at 2PM and support with some household management tasks until school ends. Note that Fridays will need to begin around 2PM as school ends early that day.

  • Take care of children and ensure their well-being
  • Perform household-related tasks related to the children, including light tidying and laundry
  • Implement daily routines.
  • Perform light housework responsibilities.
  • Support with light meal prep as requested.
  • Run errands.

Requirements

  • Must be a high school graduate.
  • Proven child care experience with references.
  • First Aid and CPR certification.
  • A valid drivers license and a safe driving record.
  • Previous nanny or in-home childcare experience preferred
