Creating effective communications strategies for the organization
Researching and writing press releases and other content for website updates, email newsletters, and social media posts
Working closely with the marketing team to develop strategies to advertise shop sales, webinars, in-person events, etc.
Reviewing all outgoing communication pieces, including handbooks, manuals, educational materials, and event flyers
Communicating with partners and participating in virtual and in-person meetings and conferences to share our work
Managing primary social media accounts for the organization and its programs, including 4 Facebook pages, 4 Instagram accounts, and two Twitter accounts
Managing five Wordpress websites by providing content and updating page designs;
Developing video content to tell the many stories of our work.
Conducting day-to-day work in the areas of planning, content creation for print and digital communications and publications, production, website user experience and performance management and project management, and media outreach and public relations
Supervisory Responsibility
This position is occasionally responsible for supervising Social Media Interns, including reviewing content and directing work.
Work Environment
This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.

Required Education and Experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail
Demonstrated significant experience using the Adobe Creative Suite, including Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, Lightroom, etc
Knowledge of WordPress
Experience working with nonprofits
Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work well in a fast-paced, growth environment
Advanced writing, storytelling and editing skills are essential
Written Spanish fluency preferred, but not required
3+ Years of Experience in Digital Media
Preferred Education & Experience
Experience with TikTok, YouTube, and other social media video marketing
Experience engaging young people
IT support skills
