Job Description
- Ordering materials or supplies as needed to replenish stocks or fulfill orders
- Ensuring that the company has adequate supplies of raw materials, parts, and finished products available at all times
- Receiving and processing incoming goods at the warehouse or other storage facility
- Ensuring that storage areas are safe and secure by monitoring temperatures and humidity levels to prevent damage to stored items
- Reviewing inventory records to ensure that all items are accounted for and that the items are in good condition
- Coordinating with vendors to arrange for deliveries of new inventory items
- Creating purchase orders for new inventory items based on client requests
- Examining incoming goods to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications
- Communicating with clients to answer questions about orders or shipments
