TECHNICAL SALES REPRESENTATIVE

Technical Sales Representative Responsibilities will be:
- Sell RIS Digital Solutions Products and services in the Americas Market, primarily in the USA and Canada, including developing and conducting technical presentations and demos.
- Utilize a technical acumen to understand and gather customer requirements and specifications required to generate quotations and new business opportunities.
- Support the marketing team in the identification of new niches, applications, and sales prospects.
- Negotiates sales terms such as price and delivery with Customers.
- Provide technical support to customers, answering questions and resolving problems.
- Develop new applications through interaction with customers and end-users, in collaboration with the marketing team.
- Monitor competitors' activities and collect market data to confirm and ensure the competitiveness of RIS' Digital Solutions Products.
- Prepare & submit potential sales proposals to Management for feasibility confirmation and quality, cost, and delivery alignment with business plan.
- Prepare sales agreements and background information, then submit to Legal for review and act as intermediary to obtain contract terms that satisfy all parties.
- Prepare and provide sales forecast to management.
- Requires a maximum of 50% travel mostly domestic with some international.
Technical Sales Representative Qualifications should possess:
- Bachelors' degree in sales, marketing and/or business, preferably with a technical concentration.
- Minimum of 4 years of technical sales experience, preferably in Material Handling Systems, Auto ID technology and/or industrial automation technology products.
- Advanced problem-solving skills.
- Must have very strong interpersonal, communication, persuasion, and presentation skills.
- Intermediate Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.
- Must be adept at technical writing and have excellent oral presentation skills.
- Must be able to travel up to 50%, mostly domestically with some international.
- Japanese/English bilingual preferred.

- Experience with systems analysis and design
- Experience with conveyor system integrations
- Experience with DB integrations and communications
- Experience with CAD or other 3D software to visualize product concepts
- Experience with programming PLC's and their communication protocols
- Experience with JAVA/JavaScript and API's
