To strengthen the service team we are looking for an experienced Service Technician (m/f/d).

Tasks

Assembly and commissioning of extruders and system components at customer sites

Planning and execution of service, maintenance and repairs of extruders

Testing and acceptance of systems in the Innovation Lab before delivery

Process support and plant optimization during commissioning of new plants

Planning of retrofits or modifications to existing plants

Customer communication on technical questions as well as analysis and troubleshooting to eliminate plant malfunctions, also via online support

Further development of existing systems in cooperation with the service team

Requirements

Several years of professional experience in machine or plant engineering, preferably with extruders and compounders or other complex machines

Professional training as a mechanic (m/f/d), toolmaker (m/f/d), mechatronics engineer (m/f/d) or comparable qualification, ideally with further training as a mechanical engineering technician (m/f/d)

Experience in customer contact during commissioning and technical malfunctions

Good organizational skills, a strong service mindset and high customer orientation

Flexibility and willingness to travel (mainly USA)

Good English skills as well as good PC skills (MS Office)
