Job Description

As Quant is a growing company in the field of Data Science and AI, it aims to maintain strong and robust legal practices that enables it to conduct its activities securely and in a legally compliant manner. Hence, we are seeking a legal and admin intern that can assist in a range of legal and admin responsibilities, which includes preparing contracts, liaising legal consultations and maintaining governance and company policies and standards, all of which ensuring that the intern will be gain enriching know how and gain a rich amount of experience.

The candidate should be linguistically proficient, quick to learn, resourceful and have strong research skills, leveraging their academic backgrounds and prior experiences while being able to quickly adapt to market practices conducted in the sector.

1. Compile, proofread and revise drafts of legal documents and processes and track legal tasks and reports.
2. Assist with updating company contracts, such as employment contracts, service contracts, etc.
3. Handles the day-to-day legal operations.
4. Liaise with law firms and partners to perform a variety of legal requirements of the company.
5. Be actively involved in legal functions and maintaining the administration processes related to it.
6. Provide support in handling disciplinary and grievance issues.
7. Support the development and implementation of company compliance policies and guidelines.
8. Ensure implementation of legal compliance requirements as per government standards and laws.
9. Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Requirements

Academic Prerequisites:
Diploma or Bachelor s degree in Law or any related field.

Personal Qualities:
1. Integrity and high sense of ethics.
2. Organized and planning oriented.
3. Strong communicator and presentable.
4. Strong critical thinking skills.
5. Problem analysis and problem-solving abilities.
6. Aptitude to work in a diverse environment.

Business Skills Required:
1. Prior exposure in corporate and labor laws.
2. Strong research and comprehension capabilities.
3. Full proficiency in English and Arabic.
4. To have demonstrated proficiency in using Microsoft Office and G-Suite.
5. Preferably familiar with the IT sector.
6. Familiar with government-driven compliance requirements and platforms.
