Plastic Surgery Consultant (Arabic Speaker)

Plans, directs, administers and supervises activities for surgical patients. Reports to the Medical Director on matters relating to the operation of the patient care division and maintain contact with the Head of Department.

Job Responsibilities:

Ensures implementation of the Ministry of Health regulations, the Hospital Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules and Regulations and the Department Policy and Guidelines.
Diagnosis and treatment of patients referred to department and responsible to run his/her own clinic.
Provides medical reports, referral letters, and other documents to the patients, hospital and other business concerns whenever necessary.
Responsible for the overall surgical care of the patient under his care including pre-, peri-, and post-operative care
Provide consultation to other sections within the department, and other departments within the hospital maintaining high level of patient care
Prepares and review case histories and clinical records and generate very accurate medical reports.

Consultant will review out patients summaries and shall prepare reports and statistical analysis as required of him; such reports will be prepared in a timely manner in accordance with the standards within the Department.
Keeps current with new procedures and techniques in the field of his/her specialty.
Handles administrative and operational matters relating to the activities of the Division and consults with Head of the Department as required.
Consultant has a responsibility to report any occurrence not consistent with the operation of the Clinic or standard of service for patients, employees or visitors and situations which put patients, staff and visitors at risk of injury or other harm.
Attends regularly scheduled meeting for the improvement of patient care services and delivery.
Provides leadership for organizational performance improvement activities.
Job Requirements:

Education and Experience

PhD/Royal College/Fellowship/Membership in Plastic Surgery
Minimum 7 years of experience post Fellowship/Membership experience in relevant specialty
Job-Specific/Technical Skills

Good communication skills.
Knowledge of Required Organizational practices/patient safety standards.
Command over professional code of ethics, medical bylaws.
Knowledge of evidence based Age specific/ Population specific patient care clinical guidelines accepted by the hospital.
Culturally competent (Kuwaiti patients culture and beliefs).
