The Senior Human Resources is responsible for developing and executing human resource strategy in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction of the organization, specifically in the areas of succession planning, talent management, change management, organizational and performance management, training and development, and compensation.The Senior HR Director provides strategic leadership by articulating HR needs and plans in partnership with the COO. They will plan, lead, direct, develop, and coordinate the policies, activities, and staff of the Human Resource (HR) department, ensuring legal compliance and implementation of the organizationâs mission and talent strategy.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Â.
This position is directly responsible for leading managers of the department.
Â.
Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff in the department.
Â.
Oversees the daily workflow of the department.
Â.
Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
Â.
Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy
Duties/Responsibilities:
Â.
Establish and implement HR efforts that effectively communicate and support the companyâs mission and strategic vision.
Â.
Develop HR plans and strategies to support the achievement of the overall business operations objectives.
Â.
Work with the companys COO team to establish a sound plan of management succession that corresponds to the strategy and objectives of the company.
Â.
Develop comprehensive strategic recruiting and retention plans to meet the human capital needs of strategic goals.
Â.
Develop and implement comprehensive compensation and benefits plans that are competitive and cost-effective.
Â.
Collaborates with senior leadership to understand the organizationâs goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, and retention.
Â.
Plans, leads, develops, coordinates, and implements policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys to support the organizationâs human resource compliance and strategy needs.
Â.
Administers or oversees the administration of human resource programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
Â.
Identifies staffing and recruiting needs; develops and executes best practices for hiring and talent management.
Â.
Conducts research and analysis of organizational trends including review of reports and metrics from the organizationâs human resource information system (HRIS) or talent management system.
Â.
Monitors and ensures the organizationâs compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance.
Â.
Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; applies this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management.
Â.
Develops and implements departmental budget.
Â.
Facilitates professional development, training, and certification activities for HR staff.
Â.
Performs other duties as required.

Provide overall leadership and guidance to the HR function by overseeing talent acquisition, career development, succession planning, retention, training, leadership development, compensation and benefits globally.

Education and Experience: A BS/BA degree from an accredited college/university; MBA or MA/MS in human resources or related field preferred. A minimum of 7 years of combined HR experience, with at least 3 years of HR leadership experience and at least 2 years (preferred) of HR experience leading at a BIPOC led origination. SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) or SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certification preferred.
