General Accountant

Job Description

• Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data, Vendor Invoices, Petty cash, Expenses, Notes payable and Pre-paid expenses
• Processing Payments in a timely manner as payment terms and agreements
• Preparing financial analyses and reports and courier commissions
• Carry outother duties of accounts payable as assigned by the supervisor
• Maintain correct, accurate and up-to-date records of cash and bank transactions in accordance with established procedures.
• Follow up the Cash balances on a daily basis in all branches and report them to the direct manager
• Daily assistance in treasury tasks from receiving cash or checks

Job Requirements

• Proven experience as A general Accountant.
• Previous experience in the shipping industry is a plus
• Previous experience in the food and beverage industry is preferable.

• Good with numbers and figures and an analytical acumen
• Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with relevant computer software (e.g. odoo)
• BSc/Ba in accounting, finance, or relevant field
