Location: Arusha Tanzania
Job Type: FullTime
Job Summary:
Our client is looking for a skilled and dedicated Network and Fiber Optic Technician to join their team. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in fiber optic technologies and networking with handson experience in installing configuring and maintaining network hardware and software.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor Install splice and maintain fiber optic cables and networks.
- Configure and manage network equipment including Cisco Juniper and Mikrotik devices.
- Monitor network performance using tools like Nagios and SolarWinds.
- Troubleshoot network issues and perform regular maintenance.
- Document network configurations and maintain accurate records.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology Telecommunications or a related field.
- Proficiency in fiber optic technologies (e.g. OTDR fusion splicing).
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols (e.g. TCP/IP MPLS BGP OSPF).
- Experience with network hardware (Cisco Juniper Mikrotik) and software tools.
Preferred Certifications(Added Advantage):
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP).
- Certified Fiber Optic Technician (CFOT).
- CompTIA Network.
Soft Skills:
- Strong problemsolving and analytical abilities.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment.
