CAM Software Operation: Utilize CAM software (e.g. Mastercam SolidWorks CAM Fusion 360) to develop toolpaths for CNC machines (milling turning etc.).
Program Development: Create modify and optimize CNC machine programs for new and existing products.
Machine Setup: Work closely with the shop floor team to ensure machines are set up properly with the correct tooling and parameters.
Process Optimization: Analyze manufacturing processes and suggest improvements to reduce waste enhance precision and improve overall efficiency.
Collaboration: Work with design engineers to understand product requirements and translate them into manufacturing specifications.
Troubleshooting: Address and resolve issues with existing CNC programs machine performance or process inefficiencies.
Documentation: Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of programs setup sheets and process instructions.
Quality Assurance: Ensure all CAM outputs comply with quality standards and are in line with design specifications.
Training: Provide training to junior engineers or shop personnel on CAMrelated processes and software usage.
Requirements
Bachelor s degree in mechanical engineering Manufacturing Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
At least 3 years of experience in a CAM Engineer role or similar.
Proven experience with CAM software and CNC programming (Solid Works Mastercam and PowerMill etc.).
Solid understanding of machining processes and tooling.
Strong problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
Familiarity with CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks AutoCAD).
Excellent communication skills for crossfunctional collaboration.
