The Risk Manager develops the risk management strategy and procedures for the project which will be incorporated into the Project Management Plan. He / she will be responsible for
the overall project risk management function providing leadership integration and management of risk management processes to improve the consistency and efficiency of the
project delivery.
- Develop the Risk Management strategy plan and procedures for the project.
- Develop and manage the project risk management register.
- Comprehensively identifying Risks that might impact on the achievement of the Program Objectives
- Accurately assessing using both qualitative and quantitative methods the potential impacts of the identified Risks
- Prioritising the requirements for Risk response identification
- Formulating appropriate responses to the identified Risks
- Quantifying adequate cost and time provisions for postresponse residual Risk impacts
- Controlling the implementation of identified Risk responses
- Monitoring changes in Risk exposure identifying new Risks and modifying responses
- Data gathering to support monthly risk reports; including report preparation
- Establish Risk Management cadence including recurring meetings and reporting
- Conduct regular risk workshops with different stakeholders
- High degree of technical proficiency in implementing risk management procedures on major construction projects.
- Understanding of key engineering and construction concepts.
Qualifications :
- Technically proficient in one or more risk management tools (i.e. Active Risk Manager Primavera Risk Analysis etc).
- Proficient with quantitative cost and schedule analysis using Monte Carlo simulation techniques
- Ability to work with diverse stakeholders at all levels in order to negotiate winwin situations.
- Degree in Engineering from a western university with a min 15 years experience.
