Overview:
AL Hokair group is a name that has been tied the world of hospitality and entertainment for decades. To many it has become the first name that comes to mind when tourism in Saudi Arabia or the Arabian world are mentioned. The group was started in 1975 to invest in the sectors of entertainment and hospitality under the leadership of Sheikh Abdulmohsin AL Hokair.
Over five decades the groups projects expanded to include 70 entertainment centers and 33 hotels spread in Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates. The group continues to develop its tourism investments to deliver the best of what top global companies offer by attracting expertise and establishing partnerships that enhance returns of investment and makes a difference in the fields of entertainment and hospitality.
Job Summary:
The Cost Controller is responsible for managing and controlling costs within the hospitality division ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with company policies. This role requires a strong understanding of cost management principles and the ability to analyze financial data to support decisionmaking.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and control all costs related to the hospitality operations including food and beverage labor and operational expenses.
- Prepare and analyze cost reports budgets and forecasts to identify trends and variances.
- Implement cost control measures and procedures to optimize efficiency and reduce waste.
- Collaborate with department heads to provide insights on cost management and advise on budgetary constraints.
- Maintain and update the hospitality ERP system ensuring accurate data entry and reporting.
- Conduct regular audits and reviews of financial processes and procedures to ensure compliance.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for management on cost performance and recommendations for improvements.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or any Businessrelated course.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Cost Controller in the hospitality industry.
- Proficient in Hospitality ERP systems preferably Oracle.
- High level of communication skills both verbal and written.
- Advanced skills in Excel and reporting including pivot tables and data analysis.
