We are looking for Project Director 3D to work on NEOM The LINE project based in NEOM.
The Project Director MMC is responsible for overseeing and leading all pre and post construction activities for all MMC including 2D and 3D volumetric manufacturing installation and commissioning primarily for residential assets across City Built Infrastructure.
Incumbent is thoroughly familiar with volumetric manufacturing flow line and cellular manufacturing to achieve a high level of premanufactured value (PMV) across a diverse range of premium quality residential assets.
The role requires a strong understanding of volumetric building / manufacturing principles including Kaizen lean manufacturing design for manufacture and assembly (DFMA) bills of materials (BOMS) and MRP systems.
Lead the development of work package plans to ensure all key deliverables for manufacturing installation and commissioning of assets align with the cost plan and programme objectives.
Provide input into the design phases to ensure design for manufacturing and assembly approach aligns with project deliverables and programme objectives.
Ensure design outputs align with the procurement execution strategy to develop supply chain ecosystems and core products into subassemblies that can assembled into finished product in a manufacturing facility adjacent to the project.
Develop procurement execution strategies for work packages aligned to project deliverables and programme objectives assessing commercial risks aligned to manufacturing installation commissioning long lead procurement and whole life cycle cost.
Ensure design outputs align with the procurement and project execution strategy to procure supply chain ecosystems to manufacture core products into subassemblies that can be fully assembled into finished product locally in the 3D MMC assembly facility and/or onsite as required.
There will be extensive interface with 2D / Insitu delivery for Residential and hotel product that are not best suited to be delivered as 3D MMC in addition to coordinating with other asset products ands city infrastructure.
The role will involve developing detailed stakeholder management plans to identify analyze and engage all key stakeholders and groups on a regular basis to manage expectations objectives and outcomes.
Build effective stakeholder relations across a multifaceted organization developing key interface and engagement plans to build successful stakeholder relations.
Work closely with the QC/QA teams to ensure all QC/QA deliverables are in accordance with process procedures and applicable standards using digital systems for inspection and test plans (ITP) BIM360 and COBie data.
This role will be actively involved in both pre and postcontract phases and requires the post holder to have experience in both phases.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership to engineers and project managers mentor and guidance in support of project goals and objectives.
- Oversee and manage risks using hazard identification to manage and mitigate risks in conjunction with the wider project team.
Knowledge Skills and Experience
- Demonstrable background in volumetric manufacturing and advanced manufacturing principles in premium residential assets
- Proficient in managing multiple internal and external stakeholders to drive successful outcomes.
- A selfmotivated proactive individual who leads by example.
- Initiativetaking leadership qualities technical problem solving skills through building stakeholder relationships.
- Delivery focused strong ability to clearly articulate goals and objectives to project managers and engineers.
- Experience building and leading multidisciplined teams.
- Demonstrable record in successful delivery of large complex projects as project lead/project director
- Saudi Arabia experience preferred but not essential.
Qualifications
- Engineering Degree and Mechanical or Electrical Engineering must be proficient in Mechanical Electrical and Plumbing services having played a senior role in large multifaceted complex projects.
- Minimum 25 years of direct experience in the consultancy and construction of megascale MEP projects is required with 10 years of experience in design review project management & consultancy work in the delivery of large MEP Projects.
