Roles and responsibilities

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Senior Data Engineer to become a vital member of our innovative team. In this role, you will have a significant impact on the design, implementation, and maintenance of our data architecture and infrastructure.

Location: Remote within the EU

Key Responsibilities:

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for crafting and maintaining scalable and efficient data architectures that meet the diverse needs of our organization. Your work will involve developing and implementing data models, ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of the data we manage.

You will create and optimize ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, facilitating the movement of data from various sources into our data warehouse. This includes implementing and upholding data quality standards, which are crucial for maintaining the accuracy and completeness of our datasets.

Monitoring and optimizing the performance of data pipelines and queries will be essential to your role. You will also be expected to produce and maintain thorough documentation regarding data engineering processes, data models, and systems, ensuring transparency and clarity for current and future team members.

Collaboration is key in this position, as you will work closely with data analysts, data product managers, and other stakeholders to gather and address their data requirements. Your ability to communicate effectively and build strong working relationships will be vital for the success of our data initiatives.

Desired candidate profile

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you should have a proven track record in data engineering. Proficiency in SQL is a must, along with experience in working with both relational databases (like PostgreSQL) and columnar databases (such as Redshift). Strong programming skills in Python are essential, as they will be integral to your development and optimization efforts.

Experience with cloud platforms, specifically AWS, is also required. A solid understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts is crucial, as these are foundational to the work you will be doing.

We are looking for someone with strong problem-solving and analytical skills, able to tackle challenges independently while also contributing to a team environment. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities are essential, as you will be interacting with various stakeholders and ensuring their data needs are met.
