Overview:

The Store Manager plays a critical role in overseeing the daily operations of the store ensuring exceptional customer service and driving sales to meet and exceed targets. They are responsible for managing a team maintaining inventory and creating a positive and productive work environment. The Store Manager is essential in upholding the stores brand image and ensuring the overall success of the business.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to maximize sales and achieve targets
  • Manage and motivate a team to deliver excellent customer service and meet sales goals
  • Oversee inventory management and ensure accurate stock levels
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance implementing corrective actions as needed
  • Maintain store appearance and merchandising standards
  • Create and maintain a positive work environment for all team members
  • Handle escalated customer inquiries and complaints
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members
  • Manage store expenses and maintain budgetary control
  • Coordinate with head office and other departments as necessary
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Participate in recruitment training and development of staff
  • Implement marketing and promotional activities to drive sales
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations

Required qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration or relevant field
  • Proven experience as a Store Manager or similar managerial role
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a highperforming team
  • Strong understanding of retail operations and financial management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to analyze sales reports and identify opportunities for growth
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and point of sale (POS) systems
  • Knowledge of inventory management and merchandising techniques
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets
  • Ability to handle stressful situations with professionalism
  • Relevant certifications in retail management or leadership a plus
  • Understanding of customer service principles and practices
  • Knowledge of labor laws and HR practices
