Clarifi Staffing Solutions is committed to connecting talented professionals with rewarding opportunities in educational settings. We are seeking a dedicated School Sign Language Interpreter to join our team and support students. The School Sign Language Interpreter will play a key role in facilitating communication for deaf or hardofhearing students ensuring they have equal access to educational opportunities. This position involves working closely with students teachers and other school staff to support academic and social success.
Position Entails:
- Maintaining detailed records of services and progress.
- Advocating for the needs of deaf or hardofhearing students.
- Staying current on best practices in sign language interpretation.
- Assisting students in understanding and accessing the curriculum.
- Working with teachers and special education staff to support educational goals.
- Providing accurate sign language interpretation during classroom instruction school activities and events.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a school setting is preferred.
- Valid certification from a recognized body (e.g. RID EIPA).
- Associates or Bachelors degree in ASL Interpretation or a related field.
- Proficiency in ASL strong communication and interpersonal skills teamwork abilities.
