Special Assistant to the Regional Director LFT P3 Regional Bureau Cairo

. Coordinate and oversee the planning of activities for the Regional Director as required and assist in the daily operations to reach operational objectives.

2. Respond to, review, or draft as appropriate, management reports and correspondence documents and bring matters that need decisions to their attention.

3. Ensure internal communication to staff from the Regional Director is disseminated thoroughly and consistently in coordination with other colleagues as necessary, using socio- political insights to support WFP's effective positioning.

Support senior-level stakeholder management for the Regional Director for both external stakeholders (governments, UN, other partners) and internal stakeholders (Country Directors, HQ functional directors, RBC Deputy Regional Directors and Heads of Units) by preparing high quality strategic background documents, talking points, and briefs for the Regional Director to ensure RD has all the information required for all meetings and engagements.

5. Make decisions and strategize on key action items to be brought up to the Regional Director based on a strong understanding and awareness of the dynamic organizational context.
