Role Overview:
As the HR Leader at Sarla Aviation you will be instrumental in establishing and leading the Human Resources function from the ground up. This role requires a dynamic individual who can navigate the unique challenges of a startup environment driving strategic HR initiatives that align with our growth objectives. You will work closely with the founders to shape the companys culture attract top talent and build the HR infrastructure necessary to support our expansion.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Setting Up the HR Function:
Establish and develop the HR function from scratch including policies procedures and operational frameworks.
Design and implement HR systems and processes that scale with the companys growth.

2. HR Policies Compliance and Operations:
Outline and enforce HR foundational policies ensuring compliance with local and international labour laws.
Manage all HR operations including payroll benefits administration and employee relations.

3. Talent Acquisition:
Lead the recruitment of top talent particularly Aviation engineers from the US to India.
Develop and execute strategies for attracting hiring and retaining highquality candidates.
Manage the full recruitment lifecycle including offer negotiations and ESOPs.

4. Strategic Staffing and Onboarding:
Partner with the Founding team to anticipate staffing needs and develop strategic hiring plans.
Oversee onboarding processes to ensure a seamless integration of new hires into the company.

5. HR Advisory to Founders:
Act as a trusted advisor to the founders on all HRrelated matters including organisational design culture development and employee engagement.
Provide insights and recommendations to enhance team performance and company culture.

Qualifications:
Masters degree in Human Resources Business Administration or a related field.
3 to 5 years of HR experience focusing on building and scaling HR functions in a startup or highgrowth environment.
Proven track record in recruiting technical talent particularly in the aerospace or related sectors.
Strong knowledge of HR policies compliance and labour laws in India and the US.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels of the organisation.
Experience in ESOP negotiations and strategic workforce planning is highly desirable.
