About the Role
As a Manager GSE Maintenance and Fleet Services you will ensure the smooth and effective management of QAS operational equipment maintenance operations in order to provide a safe and reliable operational equipment fleet at HIA. Overall responsibility for the development of strategies and concepts associated with Workshop management and associated engineering support activities; the delivery of new engineering systems processes or procedures to optimize maintenance activities and management; and the provision of consistently high standards of maintenance operations to meet the requirements of extant Service Level Agreements as cost effectively as possible.
Responsibilities
- Overall responsibility for the development of strategies and concepts associated with Workshop management.
- Implement and manage the strategic maintenance program based on industry best practices with an emphasis on preventative and predictive Maintenance
- As a member of the Engineering department management team play an active role in shaping strategic and tactical plans to improve operational performance and help position QAS as an innovative best practice people focused ground equipment maintenance service provider.
- Lead plan organize direct and control all aspects of GSE Workshop daily operations and outputs.
- Review the operation/performance/reliability of assets maintained constantly to minimize unplanned downtime proactively anticipate problems and ensure safe operation and identify opportunities for improvement and unit cost reduction.
- Implement best practices and efficient/costeffective operations that support airside operations.
- Facilitate effective decisionmaking; provide accurate and timely reporting and produce KPls that focus on delivering business needs and optimize outputs.
- Conduct Group Stakeholder Engagement e.g. with Recruitment Procurement Finance and IT.
- Draft evaluate negotiate and effectively execute Maintenance Service Agreements / Service Level
- Agreements with QR subsidiaries.
- Make decisions based upon facts and analysis set against QAS business needs.
- Organize plan and deliver a preventive maintenance program of all equipment and vehicles in order to maintain the highest standards of equipment and vehicle performance.
- Maintain effective technical records for all engineering activities as required by ISAGO and other associated bodies.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement measures across all functional areas of the Workshop.
- Ensure that high engineering standards are maintained through robust and effective internal assurance mechanisms such as out inspections and spot checks on quality of work by technicians.
- Maintain the very highest of standards of workshop cleanliness organization and safety through personal leadership and intervention.
- Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department

Qualifications
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and skills:
- Highschool/Vocational Qualification or Diploma with minimum 9 years of Jobrelated experience or Bachelors Degree or Equivalent with minimum 8 years of Jobrelated experience.
- Bachelors degree in Engineering preferably (Mechanical Electrical Industrial)
- Strong knowledge of Airside / Ramp operational procedures.
- Strong knowledge of GSE equipment and trouble shooting.
- Knowledge and understanding of crisis communications and management.
- Knowledge and experience in a maintenance management system.
- Advanced Budget and Cost Control Knowledge
- Significant previous experience as a workshop manager.
- Experience of leading managing inspiring and engaging a large multicultural workforce
- Fluent in spoken and written English.
- Must possess a strong decisive and collaborative leadership style.
- Demonstrate the highest standards of integrity equality and respect
- Ability to effectively communicate with clear concise and consistent messages.
- Strength in learning and development; mentoring and coaching skills.
- Managerial skills Ability to delegate work set clear direction and manage workflow. Strong mentoring and coaching skills. Ability to train and develop subordinates skills. Ability to foster teamwork among team members
Preferred
- Business improvement qualification such as Lean 6 Sigma.
- Experience of Fleet Maintenance Management Systems.
- Advanced MS Office skills and functions (Excel Word and Outlook)
