Job Summary:
As the Assistant Accountant you will be joining a supportive Finance team operating from our
headquarters based in the Southeast of Melbourne. This is a fulltime role working across the
Financial Accounting function. The ideal candidate should have an understanding of accounting
principles strong organizational skills numerical aptitude and attention to detail
Job Description:
- Prepare general journals
- Review data and produce accurate reports
- Prepare inter company recharges and transactions
- General ledger balance sheet and inter company balance reconciliations
- Record and reconcile financial data accurately
- Comply with relevant accounting standards and regulations
- Support senior financial accountant with various tasks
- Enter payment of team member expenses
- Complete bank account reconciliations
- Assist in the preparation collation of Month End Reconciliation and profit/loss reports
- Assist in the preparation and collation of Year End process
- Prepare quarterly BAS Returns
- Adhere to all processes and procedures within the Finance Department
- Provide administrative support as/where required in team
- Other ad hoc duties
- Can Navigate through systems

- Experience using MS NAVISION (accounting system)

- Monthend experience preferred.

- Adaptable and flexible to varying priorities and demands
- 2 4 years accounting experience in a similar position / company
- Relevant tertiary qualification preferred not essential
