As the School Psychologist you will play a crucial role in planning implementing coordinating and evaluating school health services. Your objective will be to maximize inclass time by reducing healthrelated absenteeism minimize learningimpairing health problems and foster the highest level of independent functioning possible.
Position Overview:
- Conduct psychological assessments to evaluate students cognitive academic social and emotional functioning utilizing standardized tools and culturally appropriate methods.
- Collaborate with educators parents and other professionals to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and intervention plans for students with diverse needs.
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention services to students experiencing social emotional or behavioral challenges incorporating culturally sensitive approaches.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress share insights and develop comprehensive support plans.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessment results counseling sessions and intervention plans ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Foster positive relationships with students families and the broader school community promoting a culture of inclusivity equity and respect.
Requirements
- Possess at least a Masters degree or higher in an Educational Psychologyrelated field
- Active school psychology license issued by the Minnesota Board of Psychology
- Certification from the National Association of School Psychology is preferred
