Job Description
Machine Shop Estimator
Indianapolis IN
Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder.
The hours are 7 AM 3:30 PM Overtime & Weekends may be required.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect incoming equipment/parts to determine the scope of work and which parts should be repaired/replaced.
- Sourcing and pricing of replacement parts
- Preparing detailed quotes and estimates for customers along with corresponding Job Ticket for shop tasks assigned
- Generate Troubleshooting Analysis Report along with Repair Quote
- Report any defects in materials rework missed inspections job delays or problem areas to the Operations Manager sales representatives and customers as needed.
- Review all inspection documentation to ensure it is complete and accurate.
- Update the Job Status Report in the ERP System regularly. Communicate with others on deliverables and status of joint work.
- Maintain a professional work ethic and demonstrate courtesy and respect in all aspects of work day and routine.
Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities: (Hiring Companies ATS Questions):
1. Do you have previous experience in the Machining Repair and Service Industry
2. Do you have previous experience with Estimating / Service Writing
3. Do you have the ability to read complex drawings and use precision measuring equipment
4. Do you have ISO 9001 experience
5. Do you have a High School Diploma or GED
6. Do you have have indepth experience with diagnostic troubleshooting & failure analysis processes
7. Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder.
