Job Position:Estimator
Pay: $20 $25 per hour (based on experience)
Hours: Monday Friday 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
Job Type: TemptoHire
Location: Oklahoma City (OKC)
About the Role:
Join a reputable local glass company as an Estimator where your keen eye for detail and expertise will be key in delivering accurate project estimates for both commercial and residential glass installations. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with clients architects and project managers to ensure each project is completed efficiently and costeffectively.
What Youll Do:
- Analyze project specifications blueprints and drawings to determine project needs.
- Collaborate with clients and project managers to align on goals and requirements.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates including labor materials and time calculations.
- Visit project sites as needed to verify project details and gather essential information.
- Evaluate material costs labor rates and subcontractor bids to create accurate budgets.
- Maintain an uptodate cost database reflecting current market rates.
- Identify potential cost savings and risk factors in each estimate.
- Communicate clearly with sales and production teams for accurate project proposals.
- Assist in preparing bids proposals and client contracts.
- Keep organized records of all estimates contracts and project documents.
What Were Looking For:
- Experience as an Estimator ideally in the glass construction or glazing industry.
- Strong skills in mathematics and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and construction documents.
- Familiarity with estimating software (PlanSwift Bluebeam) and MS Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and problemsolving skills.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and work independently.
- Valid drivers license with a willingness to travel for site visits.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of glass industry materials standards and installation methods.
- Experience with commercial and residential glass projects (storefronts windows doors curtain walls).
