On behalf of our client we are looking for a suitable personnel to join them as Factory Manager.

This role requires a strong understanding of

  • chemical processes
  • production management
  • people management and
  • safety protocols

Production and Operations:

  • Overseeing the production process: This involves planning scheduling and executing production runs to meet deadlines and quality standards.
  • Managing staff: Hiring training and leading a team of chemical technicians operators and other production personnel.
  • Optimizing plant operations: Ensuring efficient use of equipment and resources to minimize waste and production costs.
  • Monitoring production metrics: Keeping track of key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and address any production issues.

Safety and Quality Control:

  • Enforcing safety regulations: Implementing and adhering to strict safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Ensures product quality: Maintaining a rigorous quality control program to guarantee that produced chemicals meet specifications.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Budget management: Developing and maintaining production budgets.
  • Environmental compliance: Ensuring the plant operates by environmental regulations.
  • Keeps abreast of new technologies and industry best practices.
  • To manage the various teams in the factory

Requirements



  • A bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering (organic Chemical or fine Chemical) or related discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in chemical manufacturing operations (preferably agrochemical manufacturing operations).
  • Strong leadership communication and problemsolving skills are necessary.
  • Indepth knowledge of safety regulations and quality control procedures is crucial.
  • Strong working knowledge in chemical plant management (preferably agrochemical plant).
  • Experience in managing or participating in ISO certification processes is advantageous
  • Able to speak and communicate in Chinese/Mandarin
  • Willing to base in East Malaysia (Sarawak state). Regular home vists will be arranged.
  • This person will be required to station in China for a period to understudy the manufacturing process for the hiring companys specific product.
