What you ll do
Following are high level responsibilities that you will play but not limited to:
1.Requirements Analysis:
Gather and understand the functional requirements for the integrated API and web application. Identify data sources integration points and security considerations.
2. Design:
Design the overall architecture considering.NET 6/7 SQL Server (preferably Azure SQL) and Azure Services. Define RESTful API endpoints and data formats. Plan for a responsive web application using ASP.NET Razor Pages or Blazor with clientside scripting. Implement security measures using MSAL and Entra ID for application security.
3. Development:
Utilize C# for serverside logic focusing on efficient and maintainable code. Develop the RESTful API using .NET technologies emphasizing best practices for design and implementation. Integrate SQL Server with a preference for Azure SQL for efficient database design and optimization. Implement Azure Functions for serverless applications and eventdriven programming. Work with Azure Storage services including Blob Storage and Queue Storage for data storage and retrieval. Secure interservice communication using Managed Identity following microservices architecture best practices.
4. Authentication and Authorization:
Implement user authentication using MSAL. Utilize Entra ID for additional security measures. Define and enforce user permissions consistently across both API and web application.
5.API Management and Documentation:
Implement API management practices using Azure API Management. Use Swagger/OpenAPI to document REST APIs comprehensively.
6. Web Application Development:
Choose between ASP.NET Razor Pages or Blazor for web application development. Integrate the web application seamlessly with the RESTful API. Implement clientside scripting for enhanced user interaction.
7. DevOps and SDLC:
Implement DevOps practices using CI/CD pipelines with a proficiency in Git. Ensure automated testing for code quality and reliability.
8. Monitoring and Logging:
Implement monitoring solutions using Azure Monitor. Set up logging to capture errors and diagnostic information.
9. External Web Service Integration:
Integrate with external RESTful and SOAPbased web services. Implement authentication mechanisms for web service consumption.
10.Continuous Improvement:
Regularly update dependencies and libraries for security and performance improvements.
11.Training and Documentation:
Provide training and documentation for developers on integrated systems. Document the overall architecture and data flow.
