Remote Windows Security Engineer

Position Overview:

To expand our team we are looking for a highly qualified and driven Remote Windows Security Engineer. Strong experience with Windows security threat detection and vulnerability management will make the perfect candidate. You can work from anywhere in the US in this capacity which will help you to maintain a healthy worklife balance while also having a big impact on our companys security posture.

Key Responsibilities:

Create carry out and oversee security fixes for Windowsbased systems.

Keep an eye out for security events and take prompt action in response to alarms and threats.

To find and reduce security threats do frequent penetration tests and vulnerability assessments.

For Windows environments create and implement security policies procedures and best practices.

Work together with the development and IT teams to guarantee safe settings and procedures.

Install and keep up security measures like endpoint protection firewalls and intrusion detection/prevention systems.

Conduct routine compliance reviews and security audits.

Keep abreast on the most recent advancements in technology security trends and vulnerabilities.

Staff members should receive assistance and training on security awareness and best practices.

Qualifications:

a bachelors degree in a related discipline such as information security or computer science.

solid background working as a Windows Security Engineer or in a related position.

strong familiarity with security features and Windows operating systems.

expertise with endpoint protection firewalls IDS/IPS and other security tools and technologies.

familiarity with penetration testing and vulnerability assessment tools.

knowledge of firewall configuration network protocols and security best practices.

strong ability to analyze and solve problems.

exceptional communication skills both in writing and speaking.

capacity to oversee several projects at once and operate autonomously.

It is advantageous to have relevant certificates (such as Microsoft Certified: Security Compliance and Identity Fundamentals CISSP CISM and CEH).
