Summary
As the Nursing Director for the Operating Room you will serve as the department administrator responsible for establishing and enforcing policies procedures standards and objectives. You will direct and supervise staff manage workflow and maintain fiscal accountability. This role will be handling the day shift of the appointed facilitys Nursing department ensuring alignment with the hospitals mission vision goals and objectives. You will focus on delivering exceptional care to patients collaborating with physicians supporting employees engaging volunteers and serving the community.
Responsibilities
- Establish and enforce policies procedures standards and objectives.
- Direct and supervise nursing staff and department workflow.
- Manage department budget and ensure fiscal accountability.
- Continuously assess improve coordinate and integrate department services and standards of care.
- Approve timekeeping conduct employee evaluations and meet regulatory standards.
- Approve supply orders and lead department strategic planning.
- Utilize independent decisionmaking skills in various situations.
- Maintain high accuracy in performing diverse responsibilities.
- Frequently interact with employees physicians customers community individuals and volunteers.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Nursing Business Administration Management or related field or equivalent experience. Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) is preferred
- Five years of nursing management experience in a hospital setting with three years of supervisory experience.
- Current Arizona Registered Nurse License.
- Training in wound care and hyperbaric therapy from a nationally recognized provider is required with a preference for a WOCN certification
