Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret and analyze imaging results including ultrasounds to aid in patient diagnosis and treatment.
• Operate radiology equipment to perform and visualize images of the human body.
• Collaborate with medical staff to understand and interpret patient medical histories and symptoms.
• Ensure patients are properly prepared for imaging procedures and provide clear instructions.
• Document and maintain accurate patient records and imaging reports.
• Adhere to safety protocols and quality assurance standards to maintain a safe and efficient imaging environment.
• Provide medical interpretation of imaging results to assist in patient care plans.
• Stay updated with advancements in radiology technology and procedures.
• Communicate effectively with patients and address any concerns or queries during imaging procedures.
• Participate in departmental meetings and trainings to enhance professional development.
• Adhere to ethical and professional standards in patient interactions and image interpretation.

Required Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a residency program in diagnostic radiology.
• Board certification in radiology by the American Board of Radiology (ABR) or equivalent.
• Licensure to practice medicine and radiology in the state of employment.
• At least 2 years of experience in diagnostic radiology with proficiency in ultrasound interpretation.
• Strong knowledge of radiology technology and imaging procedures.
• Excellent attention to detail to ensure accurate interpretation of imaging results.
• Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively in a fastpaced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient interaction.
• Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development in the field of radiology.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Understanding of and adherence to ethical and professional standards of patient care and image interpretation.
• Flexibility to work evening shifts and adapt to changing scheduling needs.
