Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Parttime Radiologist for USG (Ultrasound) evening 2hour slot to join our healthcare team. The role is crucial for providing accurate and timely diagnostic imaging services contributing to patient care and treatment plans and ensuring the smooth operation of our radiology department.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret and analyze imaging results including ultrasounds to aid in patient diagnosis and treatment.
- Operate radiology equipment to perform and visualize images of the human body.
- Collaborate with medical staff to understand and interpret patient medical histories and symptoms.
- Ensure patients are properly prepared for imaging procedures and provide clear instructions.
- Document and maintain accurate patient records and imaging reports.
- Adhere to safety protocols and quality assurance standards to maintain a safe and efficient imaging environment.
- Provide medical interpretation of imaging results to assist in patient care plans.
- Stay updated with advancements in radiology technology and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with patients and address any concerns or queries during imaging procedures.
- Participate in departmental meetings and trainings to enhance professional development.
- Adhere to ethical and professional standards in patient interactions and image interpretation.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a residency program in diagnostic radiology.
- Board certification in radiology by the American Board of Radiology (ABR) or equivalent.
- Licensure to practice medicine and radiology in the state of employment.
- At least 2 years of experience in diagnostic radiology with proficiency in ultrasound interpretation.
- Strong knowledge of radiology technology and imaging procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure accurate interpretation of imaging results.
- Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively in a fastpaced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient interaction.
- Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development in the field of radiology.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Understanding of and adherence to ethical and professional standards of patient care and image interpretation.
