Facilities Assistant - Kitchen

About the role:

As a kitchen/facilities assistant you will be at the heart of our operations supporting the kitchen staff in maintaining the cleanliness organisation and efficiency of the kitchen. This role involves food preparation and cleaning duties.

Key responsibilities:

• Food Preparation: Assist in preparing ingredients by washing peeling cutting and portioning food items. Follow recipes and instructions from chefs to prepare simple dishes.

• Cleaning and Sanitising: Ensure that the kitchen including work surfaces equipment and utensils is kept clean and sanitised according to health and safety regulations.

• Dishwashing: Operate dishwashing machines or manually wash dishes pots pans and other kitchen items.

• Inventory Management: Help with the receipt and storage of deliveries. Ensure that all food items are stored properly and rotated to maintain freshness.

• Safety Compliance: Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Report any hazards or maintenance issues to the kitchen supervisor.

Essential skills and experience:

• Skills: Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen safety. Ability to follow instructions and work in a fastpaced environment.

• Attributes: Attention to detail cleanliness reliability teamwork and strong communication skills.
