Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Tutor to join our Morecambe Team. In this role you will have the opportunity to work directly with our Learners to provide support and advice to help them achieve their personal goals. As a Tutor you will be responsible for delivering to a caseload of Learners with Vocational qualifications. The role involves accredited delivery and assessment activities for several sectors such as Mental Health Awareness understanding SEND Understanding Children and Young People s Mental Health IAG Safeguarding Customer Service and many more courses dependent on competencies. Qualification range is up to and including level 3.
Duties & Responsibilities of a Tutor
Delivering a range of courses and qualifications to a caseload of Learners in Morecambe.
Tailor your teaching to ensure the approach and support is consistent throughout the lessons.
Ensure you are working to the quality standards and completion of targets.
Support with the enrolment of learners as well as gaining referrals.
Organise and maintain documentation of learners progress to ensure this is at a high standard.
Work closely with the Morecambe Quality and IQA team.
Person Specification
Recognised Teaching Qualification e.g. PGCE PTLLS or equivalent
Assessors Qualification (A1 D32/33 TAQA CAVA) or willingness to work towards
Functional Skills Level 2 in Maths English and ICT or willingness to work towards or GCSE English Language or equivalent (Grade A*C)
Experience of using an eportfolio system
Experience of delivering vocational qualifications successfully using remote and digital platforms
Strong IT Skills with experience of using MS packages
Competencies and background in Employability Customer Service Hospitality Health and Social Care and Retail.
Salary for a Tutor
per year dependent on experience
37.5 hours a week

Travel paid at 0.40p per mile.

This role will require an enhanced clearance from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
