German Translator

Key Responsibilities

• Translation:
• Translate documents marketing materials website content product descriptions and other materials from English to German and German to English.
• Ensure translations maintain the original meaning tone and intent.
• Localization:
• Adapt content to suit the cultural and linguistic nuances of Germanspeaking audiences.
• Review and adapt marketing campaigns ensuring they are effective and culturally appropriate.
• Proofreading and Editing:
• Proofread and edit translations to ensure accuracy consistency and clarity.
• Correct grammar punctuation spelling and style errors in German content.
• Content Creation:
• Collaborate with the marketing team to create original content in German.
• Assist in developing Germanlanguage materials for various platforms and audiences.
• Quality Assurance:
• Conduct quality checks on translated content to ensure it meets the company s standards.
• Implement feedback and corrections from peers and supervisors.
• Communication:
• Liaise with different departments to understand translation needs and project requirements.
• Provide linguistic support and cultural insights to teams across the company.

Qualifications

• Education:
• Bachelor s degree in Translation German Language Studies Linguistics or a related field preferred.
• Experience:
• Proven experience as a translator interpreter or similar role with a focus on EnglishGerman translations.
• Experience in content creation localization and proofreading.
• Skills:
• Exceptional proficiency in both German and English with excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
• Strong understanding of German culture and linguistic nuances.
• Proficiency with translation software and tools (e.g. SDL Trados MemoQ or similar).
• Attributes:
• Detailoriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Excellent research and problemsolving skills.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer.
