Overview
As a Staff Nurse with ICU exposure you will play a crucial role in providing highquality care to critically ill patients in the intensive care unit. You will be responsible for closely monitoring patients administering medication and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Monitor and record vital signs symptoms and medical history
- Administer medication and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Respond quickly and effectively to emergency situations
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure holistic patient care
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families
- Ensure compliance with established protocols and procedures
- Participate in continuous training and professional development
- Conduct patient and family education regarding disease process and management
- Assist in the implementation of nursing care plans
- Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Support and mentor junior staff members
- Adhere to ethical and legal nursing standards
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors or Associates degree in Nursing
- Valid nursing license
- Proven experience in a critical care or ICU setting
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Patient assessment and care planning skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to remain calm and focused in highpressure situations
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in medical software and equipment operation
