The BMC (Business Management Center) Manager plays a critical role in overseeing the operation and management of the BMC ensuring that it aligns with the organizations strategic goals and delivers highquality services to internal and external stakeholders. This role is instrumental in driving the optimal performance of the BMC improving processes and ensuring efficient resource allocation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the operations of the BMC ensuring seamless service delivery
- Develop and implement strategic plans to align the BMC with organizational objectives
- Modifies equipment and programming graphics as needed and schedules HVAC equipment to meet comfort demands.
- Interprets control drawings plans and specifications to test program and troubleshoot the BMS.
- Performs preventative maintenance site surveys replacement and modifications as needed maintains a stock of DDC inventory and documents all related to the BMS and HVAC activities.
- Manage budgeting financial analysis and resource allocation for the BMC
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to enhance service quality and customer satisfaction
- Implement and maintain ITIL framework best practices within the BMC
- Oversee the delivery of projects and initiatives within the BMC
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and lead change initiatives
- Respond promptly to system alarms emergencies and occupant complaints to mitigate risks and restore normal operations.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
- Provide leadership and mentorship to BMC staff
- Prepare and present reports on BMC performance and KPIs to senior management
- Provides input for developing Request for Proposal (RFPs) where significant technical expertise is required.
- Collaborates with the lead to develop project budgets and estimates.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration IT or related field
- Proven experience in a leadership role within a BMC or similar operational environment; 8 years of work experience as a BMS operator.
- Working knowledge of BMS HVAC lighting building automation DDC panels & relays.
- Understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
- Understanding of Digital Analog Input/Output Use.
- Excellent problemsolving and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel & Word documents.
- Demonstrated expertise in budget management and financial analysis
- Indepth knowledge of the ITIL framework and its application to BMC operations
- Strong project management skills with a focus on planning execution and evaluation
- Experience in driving process improvement initiatives and change management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions
- Strong commitment to customer service excellence and stakeholder satisfaction
- Professional certifications such as ITIL PMP or Six Sigma are desirable
