CK Group are recruiting for a Stock Control Manager to join an environmental and waste management company based in the West Midlands. This role has a starting salary of 38,500 per annum.
The Company:Our client is an established and leading company in hazardous and non-hazardous waste management in the West Midlands. They hold ISO14001 accreditation for environmental efficiency and sustainability, in addition to ISO9001 and ISO45001 accreditations.
Location:This Stock Control Chemist role is located in Greater Birmingham in the West Midlands, easily commutable from Walsall, Stafford, Lichfield, and surrounding areas.
Stock Control Manager Role:The objective of the role is to maintain and manage stock levels of accepted waste at the facility.
Your main duties will be to:- Ensure authorisation is given to bookings of waste that will allow appropriate storage in line with regulations.
- Physical count of all stored pallets of waste on site every Monday morning to work to a KPI of <75% capacity of stock.
- Work to a KPI of zero stock over 6 months old from date of acceptance.
- Ensure sampling of accepted waste is completed to supply to internal laboratory for further analysis or to pass on to suppliers to confirm suitability for acceptance.
- Ensure that pre-acceptance and post acceptance samples are moved to the transfer site daily via outgoing loads to the site.
- Provide outgoing disposal lists of material for Stock Control Administrator to transpose onto DBR system.
Your Background:The ideal candidate for this role will have:
- HNC or Degree level qualification in Chemistry or a related field.
- Experience in the hazardous waste sector
- Knowledge of hazardous waste regulations and the Heath & Work Act 1974, The Management of Health and Safety at Work regulations 1999.
- Experience working to HSG51 and HSG 71 storage specifications.
- Excellent attention to detail.
