Accounts Payable Generalist

We are looking for an accounts payable generalist who will be responsible for handling supplier communications outgoing payments managing our accounts payable ledgers in two systems (JobBoss and Epicor) and the reconciliation of all associated items.

Tasks Include:

• Generating/maintaining the check run file which queries both systems and combines the info into one Excel file. This file is used to communicate payment priorities and schedule the weekly payments.
• Communicating with suppliers regarding payment
• Processing payments via check credit card or ACH and posting into the appropriate AP system
• Bank and credit card reconciliations
• Assist in audit support as needed
• Assist in streamlining the accounts payable process
• Light invoice entry as needed. Majority of invoice entry is handled offsite by an accounts payable clerk

In order for you to be successful in this role you will need to be proficient in Microsoft Office applications particularly Excel and Outlook and be comfortable using the computer for various tasks. The ideal candidate must have a good understanding of the accounts payable process from start to finish general ledger coding and be detailoriented. Knowledge of use tax would be beneficial.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting or related experience in the field
• Advanced abilities with Excel
• Understanding of the AP process
