Cisco Firewall Engineer

The ideal candidate is a NY resident with at least 12 years of experience in networking network security and firewalls as well as handson experience in Cisco and Palo Alto firewall technology

The Work Arrangement is Hybrid: Work location & Remote (X days in office/X days remote). For the first few months the user must be onsite Monday Friday.

Tasks:

• Participate in design meetings and reviews on assigned priority projects from a security and network perspective.
• Propose networking security architecture to meet the business requirements while adhering to OTIs best practices guidelines.
• Collaborate with OTIs Architect teams to develop operable solutions for Citywide requirements.
• Complete all requirements for installing new network or firewall devices.
• Follow the OTI process for new device provisioning of integrated systems.
• Configure ports configure firewalls apply the base template configurations and integrate the appliances into the production network.
• Develop and validate base configurations for the new firewall.
• Follow OTIs established procedures to replace firewalls and firewall rules successfully.
