Pre-Owned Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced PreOwned Vehicle Manager to join our reputable client's dealership located in York Region. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in domestic vehicle sales and a proven track record in managing preowned vehicle inventories sales processes and customer relationships. This role is critical in driving the success of our preowned vehicle department through effective leadership strategic planning and exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inventory Management:

  • Oversee the acquisition pricing and display of preowned vehicles.
  • Conduct regular assessments of inventory to ensure it meets market demand and dealership standards.
  • Manage reconditioning processes to ensure all vehicles are saleready.

• Sales Management:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed dealership targets.
  • Lead coach and motivate the sales team to achieve high performance.
  • Monitor sales activities to ensure compliance with dealership policies and industry regulations.

• Customer Relations:

  • Foster positive relationships with customers ensuring high levels of satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Handle customer inquiries and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
  • Promote a customercentric culture within the sales team.

• Marketing and Promotions:

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create effective advertising campaigns for preowned vehicles.
  • Plan and execute promotional events and sales initiatives to attract potential buyers.

• Financial Oversight:

  • Prepare and manage budgets for the preowned vehicle department.
  • Analyze sales data and market trends to make informed business decisions.
  • Negotiate purchase prices with suppliers to optimize profitability.

• Team Leadership:

  • Recruit train and develop a highperforming sales team.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
  • Implement training programs to enhance product knowledge and sales skills.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in automotive management with a focus on preowned vehicles.
• Demonstrated experience in managing a sales team.
• Strong knowledge of domestic vehicle brands and models.
• Excellent communication negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in inventory management and dealership management software.
• A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as needed.
