Provide technical andinfrastructure support during available to take ownership of newcases via telephone, email and webAct as aninternal customer advocate keeping them updated in a timelymanner Ensure that each support request ownedby you is handled as per our Service Level Agreement (SLA) and tothe highest possible customer satisfaction by setting the rightexpectations and fulfilling yourcommitments Contribute your findings to acommon knowledge base and keep it up todate Draft and distribute technical notices forinternal and external communication. Prioritiseyour work in order to accomplish the most important and urgenttasks first Keep on learning as our productsand services grow and evolve Maintain regularcommunication and information exchange with the rest of the team,locally and remotely Identify and suggest anyopportunities to provide a better service What we are looking for inyou Bachelors or equivalent four yeardegree in a technical field from an accredited college oruniversity. Preferable majors: Computer Science, MIS, Electrical Engineering, etc. Experience in a Linux basedenvironment gained through university subjects or workexperience Linux knowledge including theinstallation, troubleshooting and basic configuration of recent Ubuntu Desktop releases Basic desktop Linuxusage (desktop tools for editing files, browsing the Web, managing Internet connectivity, setup of printers/services/packages/externalstorage devices/etc. utilising command line tools for exploring andmanipulating the file system) Basictroubleshooting (collecting logs, basic fine-tuning by editingconfiguration files) Familiarity with safelyinstalling, uninstalling, reinstalling and repartitioning machineswith multiple operating systems and troubleshooting to recoverbroken installations Understanding of Gmail,Google Calendar, Google Applications and Single Sign-On. Ability to learn quickly, thrive onchange and handle the pressure of a customer facingjob Written and verbal English communicationskills Willingness to travel up to 4 times ayear for internal events
