Manager Quality Assurance Engineer - Web and Desktop Automation using JavaScript

This is a remote position.

We are seeking a seasoned Manager of Quality Assurance Engineering with over 10 years of handson experience in automation testing using JavaScript and a proven track record of successfully leading and managing QA teams. In this managerial role you will be responsible for overseeing the entire quality assurance process ensuring the delivery of highquality web and desktop applications. Your extensive experience in test automation team leadership and strategic thinking will play a crucial role in maintaining and elevating our quality standards. Your deep expertise in JavaScript and strong communication skills will be crucial in maintaining our high standards.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and execute the design development and maintenance of automated test scripts for web and desktop applications using JavaScript and testing frameworks (e.g. Selenium Puppeteer).
  
• Collaborate with development and QA teams to understand project requirements and application functionality.
  
• Mentor and guide junior QA engineers in best practices for test automation and JavaScript coding.
  
• Create and manage automated test suites ensuring comprehensive test coverage.
  
• Analyze test results identify defects and communicate effectively with development teams to facilitate issue resolution.
  
• Implement and maintain continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes for automated testing.
  
• Participate in test planning strategy development and test case design.
  
• Perform regression testing and ensure test environments are properly configured for various scenarios.
  
• Stay up to date with industry best practices and emerging trends in test automation and apply them to our processes.
  
• Contribute to improving the overall QA process including strategy documentation and tools.
  

Requirements

• Bachelor s degree in computer science Engineering or a related field.
  
• 10 years of handson experience in automation testing of web and desktop applications using JavaScript with at least 5 years in a managerial or leadership role.
  
• Proven experience in managing large QA teams including remote and distributed remote teams.
  
• Excellent leadership communication and interpersonal skills.
  
• Proficiency in JavaScript with a strong coding background.
  
• Expertise in web and desktop application testing including GUI testing and browser automation.
  
• Strong knowledge of testing frameworks and tools.
  
• Experience with version control systems CI/CD pipelines and test management tools.
  
• Excellent English communication skills both written and verbal.
  
• Exceptional problemsolving skills attention to detail and analytical mindset.
  
• Ability to work effectively in a team and lead by example.
  
• Knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies is a plus.
  
• Relevant certifications (e.g. ISTQB) are a plus.
