Head of IT Infrastructure (Fintech) – Europe

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Strong entrepreneurial spirit and ability to run the team like your own business.

• Deep understanding of data center operations, including backups and disaster recovery.
• Proven experience with Oracle management and migration to Oracle Cloud.
• Strong knowledge of networking principles and infrastructure.
• Familiarity with IT Service Management (ITSM) methodologies.
• Strong data-driven decision-making and problem-solving skills. Adept at identifying trends, risks, and opportunities related to technology investments.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and manage a small team of IT professionals.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive IT strategy aligned with the company's overall business objectives.
• Oversee all aspects of IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, and security.
• Identify and implement innovative technologies to enhance efficiency and drive growth.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with technology vendors, service providers, and partners. Negotiate contracts and manage performance to ensure optimal value and service delivery.
• Ensure data security and compliance with relevant regulations.
• Partner with the software engineering team for seamless integration and support.
• Motivate and mentor your team, fostering their professional development.
• Proactively recruit top IT talent to build a high-performing team.
• Collaborate with the executive leadership team, identifying IT needs and reporting any deficiencies.

Work Environment

• This role is based out of Europe; however, the successful candidate will be required to manage a work schedule that balances European and Canadian business hours.
