Ophthalmologist Phaco Surgeon

Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and diagnostic tests to assess patients vision and overall eye health
• Consult with patients to discuss treatment options surgeries and potential risks
• Perform phacoemulsification surgeries to remove cataracts and restore patients vision
• Manage preoperative and postoperative care for surgical patients
• Document patient records and treatment plans accurately
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated patient care
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in ophthalmic surgery techniques and technologies
• Provide patient education on postoperative care and lifestyle adjustments
• Adhere to medical ethics and standards of patient confidentiality
• Participate in continuous medical education and professional development activities

Required Qualifications:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
• Residency and fellowship training in Ophthalmology
• Board certification in Ophthalmology
• Licensure to practice as an Ophthalmologist and perform surgeries
• Proven experience in performing phacoemulsification surgeries independently
• Excellent handeye coordination and surgical dexterity
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced clinical environment
• Commitment to delivering highquality patientcentered care
• Sound decisionmaking skills and attention to detail
