Job Description

Overview

An Ophthalmologist for OPD in Jaipur Rajasthan plays a vital role in providing specialized medical care to patients with eyerelated conditions in an outpatient setting. This position is crucial for delivering highquality eye care services and ensuring the overall wellbeing of patients.

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to diagnose and treat various eye conditions
  • Prescribe and administer appropriate treatment plans including medications therapies or surgical procedures
  • Interpret diagnostic tests and imaging studies to assess the health of the eye
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide interdisciplinary care for patients
  • Counsel and educate patients about their eye health treatment options and preventive measures
  • Maintain accurate and updated medical records for all patient consultations and treatments
  • Participate in continuing medical education and stay updated with the latest advancements in ophthalmology
  • Provide guidance and supervision to support staff including technicians and nurses
  • Handle emergency eye care situations with prompt and effective interventions
  • Adhere to ethical and professional standards in patient care and medical practice

Required qualifications

  • Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree with a specialization in Ophthalmology
  • Valid medical license to practice as an Ophthalmologist in Rajasthan
  • Completion of residency training in Ophthalmology from an accredited institution
  • Board certification in Ophthalmology
  • Demonstrated clinical competence and proficiency in providing outpatient eye care services
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact compassionately with patients and their families
  • Detailoriented approach to clinical assessments diagnosis and treatment planning
  • Empathetic and patientcentric attitude towards healthcare delivery
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous learning in the field of Ophthalmology
