• Department: and nbsp;Surgical 10 West
• Shift Timings: Night Shift and nbsp;18:30 07:00 Hours
• Per Week: 40 hours
• This department is a 28 unit serving general surgical adult population and does have telemetry capability. Nurse to patient ratio is 1:56. The unit is also supported by PCTs and a Healthcare unit coordinator. Utilization of virtual sitter monitoring is available as well as monitor techs to monitor those on telemetry.

Roles and amp; Responsibilities

Job Summary:

• Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.

Responsibilities:

• Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors records and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
• Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for wellcoordinated patient care.
• Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
• Assesses and coordinates patients discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

Complexity of Work:

• Within scope of job requires critical thinking skills decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment.
