Requirements:
Experience with statistical data analysis and manipulation of large datasets (3 years);
Experience working with relational databases (3 years);
Experience programming in SQL or Structured Query Language (3 years);
Experience programming in SAS (3 years);
Experience working with data analysis tools and the organization of data analysis in Word Excel Access SAS (2 years);
Experience with requirement elicitation techniques to gather and document requirements from stakeholders (2 years);
Experience with design and implementation of data quality improvement initiative (2 years);
Experience with the delivery of training in related field (2 years);
Experience using medical data standards (ICD10/SNOMED/RxNorm) (2 years);
Bachelors degree in one of the following fields biostatistics informatics health services research management information systems information technology.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Conduct meeting sessions with internal and external stakeholders to gather existing and needed data requirements for prehospital hospital and posthospital stroke data as directed by the Department;
Conduct analyses (gap implementation process analyses) of current state of Floridas existing prehospital (Emergency Medical Services EMS) stroke data collection methods and quality of data collection;
Compile and analyze medical data using the Departments EMSTARS/Biospatial applications and analytical tools;
Analyze and identify the data requirements and methodology to link EMS prehospital data with the Florida Stroke Registry;
Create datasets/queries/reports of needed prehospital (EMS) data to support linkage efforts to the Florida Stroke Registry (FSR);
Prepare reports data summaries and other written documentation of stroke surveillance activities as directed by the Department;
Conduct quality improvement process analysis activities of the data collection processes of EMS stroke data collection or other related stroke data sources;
