Position Overview: Director of Nursing (DON)
As the Director of Nursing you will play a pivotal role in providing facility management staff support and quality patient care within perioperative and post anesthesia services. Utilizing your experience and organizational policies youll ensure safe effective and patientfriendly centered care across all patient populations. The Director of Nursing is an RN with clinical and administrative responsibility for the Surgical Center in which Nursing care is directly and/or indirectly provided. The DON services shall be responsible for the direction provision and quality of nursing services provided to patients. Requirements
- current Registered Nurse license in the state of New Jersey
- BSN preferred
- BCLS ACLS PALS as appropriate for the patient population served
- current IV certification preferred
- AORN or other nursing organization participation required
- certifications such as CNOR CPAN etc. preferred
- prior experience with surgical instrumentation and equipment

- schedule is typically MondayFriday (some Saturdays as needed)
- hours are 9am5pm on nonsurgical days; 6:30am start on surgery days (typically 2 surgery days per week)
current Registered Nurse license in the state of New Jersey BSN preferred BCLS, ACLS, PALS as appropriate for the patient population served current IV certification preferred AORN or other nursing organization participation required certifications such as CNOR, CPAN, etc. preferred prior experience with surgical instrumentation and equipment
