Job Details
- Shifts: Days 10 hours Rotating (No weekends) MondayFriday 40hrs/week
- Work Location: Onsite; Palo Alto CA
Duties and Responsibilities
- Intermediate level competent to work independently in the first (2) services and staff will be training to be proficient on the remaining 2 services.
- Adult Cardiology Service and Structural Heart
- EP Service (Device implant) and Neuro Service Vascular Service
- Provides scrub assistance during procedures.
- Provide aid during intervention cases. (Ex. Prepping balloon stent deployment valve crimping and other tasks).
- Sets modality parameters on fixed and mobile angiography equipment.
- Enters data such as patient demographics in imaging equipment.
- Correctly archives images in Cardiac PACS and Radiology PACS
- General understanding of imaging techniques protocols and equipment functions.
- Operates and troubleshoots ancillary equipment. General understanding of needed supplies measurement archival.
- Intermediate understanding on ancillary and cath angio equipment (Ekos Angio Jet FFR Volcano Rotablator IABP Impella U/S IVUS Cathworks) used in services.
- Performs routine cleaning of procedural area and equipment.
Requirements
Education
- Associate Degree. Bachelors degree preferred.
Licenses and Certifications
- BLS Basic Life Support
- ACLS Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support.
One of the following certifications are required at the time of hire
- RCIS Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist Certification or
- RCES Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist Certification or
- IBHRE International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners Certification
- CEPS Certified Electrophysiology Specialist
Experience
- Minimum One (1) to three (3) years of Cath Angio LabEP work related experience
