Hours
Full time (40 hours) Five 8 hours shifts call required
Surgery Department Highlights
8 Operating rooms with 3 robotic rooms
Work with neuro ortho robotic eye plastics gyn podiatry & urology
Provide life saving care to diverse patient population
YOU WILL NEED
-
H.S. Diploma or Equivalent
-
Six months of Operating Room experience preferred or new graduate
-
CST Certified Surgical Technologist graduate of an accredited surgical tech program OR
-
CST Certified Surgical Technologist & employed to practice surgical technology in a healthcare facility before September 1 2009 OR
-
CST Certified Surgical Technologist graduate/completion of a military training program in surgical technology OR
-
LVN Licensed Vocational Nurse
-
BCLS Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care
WHAT YOU WILL DO
-
ist in periop care for patient population including infants pediatrics adults & geriatrics
-
Preop ist RN in formulating plan of care
-
ist as needed in coordinating patient care periopertively
-
Follow postop procedures for care of instruments supplies & equipment
-
ist in delivering nursing care in a manner that minimizes risk of transfer of infection & contamination
-
ist in care in a manner which protects the patient from injury
